Special Education Teacher- Contract

Location: Monroe, MI, 48161

Position Details:
  • Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday

  • Student Age Group: Elementary,Middle School

Responsibilities:
  • Teach special education students in grades 2-4 at Eyler Elementary in Airport Community Schools.

  • Manage classrooms with 8-10 students in a cross-categorical setting.

  • Provide instruction and support for students with diverse needs and any special education endorsement (ASD, CI, SLD, EI).

  • Teach in two classrooms at Arborwood North Elementary within Monroe Public Schools for grades 2-4.

  • Manage middle school rooms at Wager Middle School within Airport Community Schools for special education students.

Qualifications:
  • Valid special education endorsement (ASD, CI, SLD, EI).

  • Experience in teaching special education at the elementary or middle school level.

  • Ability to manage cross-categorical classrooms.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff.
