Job Description
AAR, a SOCOTEC Company, is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our Redmond, Lacey, or Wenatchee, Washington office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, working closely with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
  • Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
  • Coordinate and participate in field activities, including:
  • Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
  • Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
  • Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
  • Perform engineering analyses, including:
  • Foundation design and evaluation
  • Slope stability analysis
  • Settlement analysis
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Responsibilities subject to change to meet current needs

Qualifications
Education
  • B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
  • M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred

Required Skills & Experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
  • Familiarity with local engineering practices and California-based projects required
  • Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Expected salary range: $100,000-120,000 depending on qualifications
