Vitro has a Commercial Account Manager position open in the Central Plains region of the United States. This position is to be a home office position with travel within a defined territory - candidates are preferred to reside in a centralized location inside the territory. The geography of coverage is Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.
The Commercial Account Manager will contribute to the sales and profit objectives of the business through planned sales coverage and service to assigned accounts and prospective customers. These accounts include glazing contractors, certified fabricators and other commercial customers serving the commercial market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement timely and accurate communications regarding customer requirements, business opportunities and issues, and competitive intelligence as needed to meet SBU goals
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Flat Glass products, marketing segments and plans, the customer base, internal customer service and administrative systems
  • Investigate opportunities to improve profitability of existing business
  • Influence the commercial channel (glazing contractors and certified fabricators) to specify and use Vitro products by being a source of technical information and through profitable market pricing
  • Develop a network with glazing contractors and fabricators to influence the use of Vitro certified coatings in commercial buildings
  • Follow-up and provide market pricing on specific projects and influence the use of Vitro products. Ensure that Vitro products are specified and projects needs are fulfilled with these products
  • Provide information about the Vitro products such as Solarbanยฎ, Starphireยฎ, Acuityยฎ, campaign product schedules, etc. throughout the channel as to become the source of information to the channel influencers
  • Provide integrated sales presentations with NAMs to all levels of the channel
  • Call on glazing contractors with the fabricator
  • Establish a home office within the assigned territory
  • Travel to accounts and trade shows

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Business or technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of eight years sales/marketing or related experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all customer levels (business owners, purchasing personnel, design architects)
  • Strong communications skills in writing, IT presentations, public speaking and one to one negotiations

Must be self-motivated and have a willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Flat Glass products, knowledge of commercial job sites, glazing contractors, fabricators and the commercial market.
