Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and friendly Merchandiser to join the team at our successful ice cream distribution company. As a Merchandiser, you will merchandise and unload frozen product, check product quantities for accuracy, ensure product is rotated properly to safeguard against outdated products, and maintain electronic paperwork on an assigned route. Merchandisers manage customer expectations regarding delivery and fill expectations, product storage and effectively communicate with the General manager, Operations Manager and Director of Sales any opportunities or product changes within product guidelines.

Responsibilities 
  • Develop relationships with customers
  • Make route deliveries to hospitals and assisted living facilities
  • Coordinate stocking and proper merchandising of product
  • Forecast consumer trends and identify preferences of our customers
  • Monitor the popularity of existing products
  • Report on sales and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in merchandising is preferred
  • Understanding best practices in customer service and sales
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a minimum of 5 years driving experience, clean driving record with no moving violations over the past 3 years.
  • No major driving convictions including DUI/DWI, reckless driving or at-fault fatal accident.
  • Must have basic computer skills including ability to use computer ordering equipment.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work well with supervisor and coworkers in a team environment
