Key Account Manager
Position Summary:
The Federal Accounts VA Key Account Manager is responsible for leading strategic engagements within the VA key institutions.
This role focuses on building partnerships within the VA Medical Centers/VISNS as the primary point of contact for these institutions. The VA Key Account Manager plays a critical role in positioning the company's product, fostering collaboration, and driving optimal patient outcomes while achieving business objectives.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $160K - $165K. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans tailored to the unique needs and objectives of each VA medical center.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with VA hospitals key stakeholders' and decision-makers within the VA /VISN systems.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and collaboration
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving or surpassing sales targets
  • Conduct impactful presentations and discussions to highlight the clinical benefits, safety profiles, and therapeutic advantages of the company's products.
  • Identify unmet needs within the VA systems -VISNS and deliver compliant solutions aligned with organizational priorities and patient care objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the therapeutic area, including treatment guidelines, clinical research, and competitive landscape.
  • Stay informed on innovations and emerging trends leveraging insights to refine account strategies.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage account data, monitor progress, and track success against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with regulatory guidelines, corporate policies, and ethical standards.
  • Provide regular reporting on account activities, challenges, and opportunities to regional and national leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree a plus
  • Substantial experience in pharmaceutical sales and account management and VA experience
  • Experience in dermatology and or biologics a plus
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Awareness of healthcare regulations, formulary processes, and access dynamics within the counts-VA systems.
  • Ability to travel weekly as needed required
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and digital meeting platforms required
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record required
  • Successfully pass all Amplity and client required training required

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.
Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
