Wolters Kluwer's Digital Experience Group (DXG) creates products and solutions for its business divisions which serve professionals in healthcare; tax and accounting; financial and corporate compliance; legal and regulatory; corporate performance and ESG sectors around the world. Our UX team collaborates closely with cross-functional product teams to solve complex customer and business problems in ways that our customers love, while also working for our business.

About the Role

The Lead CX/UX Designeris responsible forenhancing our customer-facing products and solutions within Wolters Kluwer's Health Language portfolio and willbe responsible forensuring high quality output and alignment with business strategy. The Health Language applications are use-case specific workflow tools to helpexpeditethe authoring, mapping,designand review ofhealthcaredata. As the industry transitions to a value-based care model, we are committed tobreaking downbarriers and fostering trust through ourHealthLanguage offerings. Our products support both payers and providers, ensuringaccuratebilling and coding at the point of care. This role requires the ability to dive into product technical details, user journeymappingand flow diagrams to inform product features that can help our provider, vendor and health plan clients achieve their business and patient outcomes.

This role also works in close collaboration with our DXG Centers of Excellence (CoEs), product management,contentand technology teams, applying proven UX research and design practices and principles includingleveragingour Product Design System and incorporating customer insights/data to developoptimalsolutions that drive competitive advantage. This role requires a creative,energeticand adaptable problem-solver who can navigate complexity, act as a liaison among cross-functionalteamsand work quickly with high quality and consistency. The team needs a proactive strategic thinker who is extremely hands-on andhas the ability todrive all aspects of UX research and design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Understand business goals, user needs, and technical capabilities to inform the research and design of holistic and integrated solutions
  • Foster collaborative relationships with product teams and technology partners
  • Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, working with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent and excellent user experience that isvalidatedby customers
  • Lead/co-lead visioning workshops with multidisciplinary teams of business, technology,contentand user experience roles to shape strategic plans

Design:

  • Translate ideas into concepts, user flows, wireframes,mockupsand prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences for products in the Health Language portfolio
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define,improveand implement UX research and design best practices and processes
  • Work directly with development groups to ensureaccurateimplementation of designs
  • Manage multiple projects at various stages and prioritize tasks
  • Use and contribute to the WoltersKluwerProduct Design Systemto ensure consistency,efficiencyand scalability

Research:

  • Identifyresearch opportunities andappropriate researchmethods based on business objectives
  • Develop research plans collaboratively with the Product Manager and other team members
  • Lead research projects from start to finish, conducting research yourself and enabling product teams to get involved
  • Deliver actionable insights that are well-reasoned and presented with a high degree of quality

Job Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience working as a UX designer - ideally within an agile environment
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university (or equivalent) in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communication & Multimedia Design/Media Technology, InformationArchitectureor related field
  • Familiar with principles of Lean Product and Lean UX
  • Have a deep understanding of typography, color,layoutand motion design principles
  • Passionate about design, emerging technologies and problem solving
  • Understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, particularly in payer and provider sectors and experience with value-based care models and health language offeringsisdesireablebut notrequired
  • Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and API integration
  • Familiarityin interoperability standards and protocols, ensuring seamless data exchange across diverse healthcare systemsisdesireablebut notrequired
  • Both a self-starter and team-oriented, with a willingness to teach and learn; open to feedback and welcomes constructive criticism
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and act as a liaison among the UX, product and technology teams to ensure standards of excellence are met
  • Experience working in distributed, collaborative teams

Technical Skills

  • Experience working with design systems and familiar with creating UX patterns
  • Experience adhering to WCAG compliance and standards
  • In-depth knowledge of customer analytics tracking tools and customer researchmethods; adept at analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Mastered design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of agile software development processes and experience with requirements management and complex projects
  • Work with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3

Compensation:

$128,900.00 - $226,050.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
