Job description

Overview

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for providing a full range of maintenance and repair and administrative support to Seton Medical Center. Provides excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and perform repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment.
  • Maintain continuous operation of equipment by trouble shooting and repairing.
  • Conduct utilities and equipment tests.
  • Record pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes.
  • Process administrative paperwork in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Required to stay abreast of the latest technology as related to hospital building systems and equipment and emergency response regarding hazardous materials.
  • Requires successful completion of medical evaluation fit test under respiratory protection program criteria.
  • Functions as a team member.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the quality of service.
  • Complies with department, medical center and regional policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance in the work place
Qualifications

Successful completion of Local 39 Apprenticeship Program or equivalent.
