Job Summary
The Senior IT Business Systems Analyst is customer focused and facilitates turning functional business requirements into automated applications and tools to drive business processes. The position collaborates with the business subject matter experts to ensure relevant analysis and translation of business requirements into technical solutions. Facilitates meetings, identifies, collects, and organizes requirements and business process requirements. Clarifies complex business issues and recommends solutions. Advocates business process improvement through analysis, process change, and technology application.
Education & Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or any other relevant degree or equivalent experience
• 3 - 5 years' experience in an IT Business Systems Analyst role
• Increasing involvement in moderate to complex projects
• Experience with process flow mapping, documentation and design
• Ability to facilitate and negotiate solutions across enterprise applications
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence stakeholders
Preferred:
• 2 - 5 years' experience in a healthcare environment
• Experience performing data analysis and documenting data requirements
• 1 or more years' experience in an Agile environment using Jira toolset
• Experience writing technical stories and tasks to guide development
Key Responsibilities
• Develops, delivers, and maintains quality IT solutions to support business processes, in line with IT guidelines and architectures.
• Balances clients' business requirements and preferred technical architecture. Recommends creative and innovative solutions to business or technical problems. Provides client support for operation systems consistent with service level agreements (SLA's). Ensures work is technically sound and in compliance with established quality and timeliness standards.
• May lead project team assignments of moderate scope requiring expert technical skills in process flows, data mapping and systems design.
• Ability to facilitate requirements analysis and design sessions. Works with cross functional teams to prioritize development priorities. Coaches, mentors, and trains team members.
• Key member of IT requiring expert technical skills and good understanding of business functions. Documents process flows, data mapping, and IT designs; works collaboratively with team members.
• Familiar with minimal viable product Agile concepts.
• Takes active steps to increase understanding of client's business environment, priorities and processes, and emerging technology issues.
• Interfaces with customer and other departments to ensure project objectives are achieved. Interacts with vendors on routine testing matters.
• Analyzes and identifies core business processes for application design.
• Communicates issues openly, honestly, and timely with peers, management and customers.
• Supports preparation and presentations of new initiatives to senior leadership to help obtain buy-in and support.
• May work with vendors to clarify and resolve tool/software functionality issues.
• Participates in the definition, implementation, and execution of best-practices.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
