Job Description
The UX Designer will be responsible for prototyping and building visually compelling user interfaces for the various digital services we offer. The UX Designer will also be expected to assist in developing the overall functionality of our products. To ensure a great user experience the UX Designer must iterate design and solutions in accordance with user-testing. This is a mid-level, remote position.
Essential Functions:
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
  • Facilitate the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing for digital products
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
  • Identify design problems and devise solutions
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to product functions and features
  • Use UX Development best practices to design solutions
  • Take a user-centered design approach to rapidly test and iterate designs
  • Work with stakeholders in order to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and stakeholders
  • Communicate design processes, ideas and solutions to teams and clients
  • Champion new ideas and offer innovative solutions through exceptional product design

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Portfolio of work showcasing web application designs from concept to production
  • A minimum of three years work experience in Web Design or Front End Development
  • Knowledge of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or equivalent
  • Expertise in industry standard UX software, Adobe XD experience and Photoshop
  • Intermediate HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate closely with teams and stakeholders
  • Open to receiving constructive criticism and feedback
  • Passion for all things UX
  • Exceptional design skills

The targeted salary range for this position is $69,800 - $102,600.
The posted salary range for this position may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; internal pay equity; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
