As a Security Officer Screener in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will help monitor entry points, support badge and visitor screening, and assist with access control and other security-related activities. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and work with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and driven by integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, access control activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry points and perform screening of employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with site policies and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening, communication, and policy-based escalation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns within a dynamic technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
