Position OverviewWe are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join our Accounting & Finance team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong corporate tax and tax provision (ASC 740) experience who is currently operating at the manager level. The position offers the opportunity to work with large, multi-state, national, and global clients while collaborating across offices and growing professionally in a highly rated client environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and review corporate federal and state income tax compliance engagements
Prepare and review tax provisions under ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes)
Support large, multi-state, national, and global corporate clients
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate income tax regulations
Manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate closely with teams across multiple offices
Participate in team growth, mentoring, and leadership development initiatives
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA license (active or reciprocity) or JD with active law license
4–7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience
Current Tax Manager experience required
Recent (past 1–3 years) experience with corporate tax and ASC 740
Public accounting experience with a top 15 accounting firm
Experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global companies
Strong analytical, technical, and tax technology skills
Proficiency in US GAAP and corporate income tax laws
Preferred QualificationsStrong public accounting background
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision
Working knowledge of state and local income taxes (SALT)
Experience with international taxation and transfer pricing
