Facilities Service Company, a leader in commercial cleaning and facility services, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Afternoon Shift to take on a key leadership role within our organization. This position provides strategic and operational oversight of Site Supervisors and operations leadership teams, ensuring consistent service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction across multiple client locations.

This is a senior field‐based leadership position designed for experienced managers who lead through others, balance priorities across multiple operations, and represent the company at a high professional level with customers and internal teams.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to Site Supervisors and operations leadership teams
  • Ensure services are delivered consistently per Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Support, coach, and develop Supervisors to improve team performance and accountability
  • Lead quality assurance programs using technology‐based inspection tools
  • Manage operational schedules, coverage planning, and workforce alignment through Supervisors
  • Serve as the senior operational contact for assigned customers
  • Address escalations, service challenges, and performance issues professionally and decisively
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to execute company standards and initiatives
  • Oversee safety program execution and compliance across assigned locations
  • Travel between multiple job sites during the same shift as required

This role leads leaders — daily frontline staffing and hiring are handled at the Supervisor level.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2–5 years of management experience leading supervisors or managers
  • Experience in labor‐intensive service industries such as commercial cleaning, facilities services, hospitality, or food service
  • Proven success managing multi‐site operations through supervisory teams
  • Minimum 5‐year employment tenure with one employer required
  • Strong record of operational accountability and customer management

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong executive‐level customer and employee relations skills
  • Proven experience leading leaders and influencing performance through others
  • Comfortable working in the field in a fast‐paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical and decision‐making abilities
  • Experience with timekeeping oversight and attendance policy enforcement
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • CRM experience preferred (Salesforce.com a plus)
