A Tomahawk weapon is a type of single-handed axe originally used by Native American tribes and later adopted by European colonists in North America. Traditionally, tomahawks were versatile tools used for chopping, cutting, and as a hand-to-hand or thrown weapon in combat. Modern tomahawks are used by military personnel, law enforcement, and outdoor enthusiasts for breaching, excavation, and utility purposes. They are typically made from high-strength steel with ergonomic handles and may feature additional functions like pry bars or hammers.
