Job description

Consumer Loan Processor II

We are excited to announce that we are seeking candidates for a Consumer Loan Processor II position. From day one, you'll join a collaborative, service-oriented team dedicated to supporting customer-owners while advancing Farm Credit of the Virginias' mission to serve agriculture and rural communities. In this role, you'll process and close consumer loan transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality customer experience. You'll work closely with lending partners and serve as a resource within the loan operations team.

Salary Range: $42,800โ€“$61,300 plus incentive opportunities

Location Options: Wytheville, VA; Staunton, VA; Roanoke, VA

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Processes, closes, and funds consumer loans, ensuring accurate documentation, data entry, and compliance with approved credit packages.
  • Prepares loan documents, verifies conditions are met, and ensures collateral is properly secured and documented.
  • Coordinates with loan officers, underwriters, attorneys, and title companies to ensure timely and accurate loan closings.
  • Performs post-closing reviews to verify accuracy of loan data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provides responsive customer service and supports timely processing in alignment with service level expectations.
  • Maintains compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while safeguarding sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in loan processing, banking, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Three plus years of professional work experience.
  • Experience processing detailed documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and apply sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and loan processing or financial procedures preferred.
