Manager – Fiber Installation

Reports to: Vice President, General Manager

Job Summary:

Centric Fiber (“Centric”) delivers industry-leading high-speed internet through Centric Fiber and natural gas services through its UniGas division. Centric serves ground-up commercial and residential developments, as well as master-planned communities in all major metropolitan markets across Texas and Central Florida. As the only integrated telecom and natural gas provider currently in the market, Centric is rapidly expanding into new regions due to its advantageous dual-model approach. Our team is dedicated to bridging infrastructure gaps through strategic value creation and continuous innovation.
The Manager – Fiber Installation is responsible for overseeing Centric’s fiber installation operations, providing leadership to field technicians, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with high quality standards. This position manages scheduling, training, quality assurance, and operational readiness of personnel and equipment, while serving as the primary liaison between the Project Manager, internal teams, and builders.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and supervise Fiber Installation Technicians, ensuring adherence to Centric’s standards and safety protocols.

· Coordinate daily installation and splicing activities to align with builder closing schedules and customer appointments.

· Develop and manage work schedules, balancing workload across teams for efficiency and effectiveness.

· Oversee fiber splicing, residential installations, and service troubleshooting to ensure high-quality workmanship.

· Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for installation staff.

· Ensure proper equipment use, maintenance, and inventory management.

· Collaborate with the Project Manager and internal departments to resolve escalated issues and streamline workflows.

· Track and analyze key metrics (install completion rates, quality audits, service turnaround) and implement improvements.

· Represent the Fiber Installation team in builder meetings, inspections, and community-related discussions.

· Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the installation department.

Requirements

· High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or fiber installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.

· Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneously.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

· Ability to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as business needs require.

· Willingness to travel across local and regional Centric markets as needed.

Preferred Requirements:

· College-level training in telecommunications, project management, or related field.

· Experience with fiber splicing, testing, and residential installation.

· Proficiency with project management and reporting tools.
