Job description

Your Impact:

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Detail Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and executing engineering plans for telecom systems, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in telecom infrastructure and a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop new process platforms and resolve project-related issues using defined processes.
  • Manage multiple programs and projects concurrently.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and company employees to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure mastery of installation requirements according to Telco Standard TP76300 (AT&T) and produce necessary documentation.
  • Apply comprehensive engineering skills across various systems, including DC power, data centers, fiber systems, and supervisory systems.
  • Integrate telecom and data equipment using diagnostic software and testing tools.
  • Conduct onsite surveys at customer locations as required.
  • Interpret network diagrams and survey data to determine equipment placement and power needs.
  • Create detailed engineering plans for transport and access networks in various environments.
  • Research manufacturer documentation to ensure proper equipment ordering and installation guidance.
  • Maintain a high understanding of company policies, safety procedures, and administrative requirements.
  • Update all company and customer installation documents as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Telecom DC Power, Infrastructure, and Central Office Detail Engineering.
  • Experience with AT&T systems such as EJF, VIPS, AOTs, and Inventory Systems is a plus.
  • High school diploma and four years of technical school or equivalent training and experience.
  • Ability to produce instructions from written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving concrete variables.
  • Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 360 and diagnostic programs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (10%-25% travel requirement). International travel is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company/customer policies and safety requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, climbing ladders, and crawling in confined spaces during site surveys.
  • Valid driver's license, insurability, and ability to pass pre-employment background checks are required.
  • A valid passport is a plus.
