Fundamentally the Superintendent is responsible for the overall performance of the jobsite. Delivering a QUALITY JOB, ON TIME, ON BUDGET and with limited interruptions to Restaurant Operations is key. The Superintendent is responsible for the output of work delivered by all project employees and sub contractors. Excellent communication with both Restaurant Manager, Crew and Project Manager is essential. Get in and get out! MUST HAVE RECENT OPEN RESTAURANT REMODEL SUCCESS DOCUMENTED IN RESUME.

Summary of Position:The Field Superintendent will provide on-site coordination for all phases of a construction project including supervising employees as needed, coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Field Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions(Other duties may be assigned)

  • Effective communication with Project Manager, customers and crews to ensure complete understanding of scope of projects
  • Supervise Ameritech employees as required (Lead Tech, Tech, Helpers, etc.)
  • Coordinate subcontractors as needed and ensure they are fully executing and complying with the scope of work
  • Meet with customers and store personnel to review projects
  • Ability to recognize problems outside of scope and effectively address with customer
  • Understand jobsite protocols specific to project and site
  • Provide detailed written daily and weekly reports to Project Manager
  • Ensure all materials needed are on site on time in order to maintain schedule
  • Ability to schedule crews to meet customer timelines
  • Ensure that each team member is aware of quality standards and company policies and ensure quality of workmanship from crew
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, suppliers/vendors and subcontractors
  • Ensure that all workers on the site work in harmony and attempt to keep conflict at bay
  • Intervene during conflicts between members and exercise tact to ward it off
  • Report crew performance to Project Manager
  • Maintain composure when faced with adverse situations and rapidly changing environments
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to portray the Company in a positive manner
  • Prior Restaurant New Construction site superintendent experience (5 yrs +)
  • Reads Plans
  • Understand commercial bldg. and health codes
  • Understands all phases and general const
  • Out of Ground construction not necessary; TI (tenant improvement) new construction is ok. Basically this would be building out a restaurant into an existing space like a strip mall, inside a Walmart or into an existing old building.
  • Ability to Travel 100% of projects with planned time off @ home (3 weeks on, 1 week off or similar)
  • Ability to work nightsand weekends; some jobs will be DAY some will be NIGHT, some will be both. Must be willing to do either/all or switch back and forth per project

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Extremely Organized
  • Supervisory experience
  • Five (5+)years of construction experience
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must valid and active drivers license
  • Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations
  • Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel 90% of time
