Job Status: Salary Work Schedule: Mon-Fri
Reports to: Sr Director of IT/CIO FLSA Status: Exempt
Positions Supervised: 2 Travel Required: Up to 10%
Position Summary:
The Software Development Team Lead is a management and hands-on technical leadership role responsible for overseeing a small software development team and the company's core business systems. This position provides day-to-day leadership, technical direction, and people management while remaining actively involved in solution design and development.
The role has primary responsibility for NetSuite ERP, a SQL-based Data Warehouse, Power BI reporting, and several custom applications deployed using AWS container technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with deep NetSuite expertise and a solid understanding of manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions/Duties:
  • Manage, mentor, and oversee a small software development team, providing yearly objectives, technical guidance, and performance management
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Assign and prioritize work to align with business objectives and project timelines.
  • Establish development standards, coding practices, and documentation expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team culture
  • Act as the technical owner and lead developer for NetSuite ERP.
  • Design, develop, and maintain NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript (1.0/2.x), SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and SuiteTalk
  • Lead integration between NetSuite and external systems
  • Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Oversee development and support of the SQL Data Warehouse.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability across enterprise reporting.
  • Provide leadership and hands-on support for Power BI data models, datasets, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with business users to enable actionable reporting and analytics.
  • Manage and guide development of small custom applications deployed on AWS using Docker container technologies.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with IT architecture standards.
  • Partner with infrastructure and security teams on deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Marketing teams to support critical business processes.
  • Ensure systems and enhancements align with real-world manufacturing workflows and operational needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP, including NetSuite development and administration.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading a small development team.
  • Proficiency with SuiteScript, NetSuite custom records, workflows, and integrations.
  • Strong PowerBI skills and experience supporting data warehouse environments.
