Enterprise Data Analyst
$69,742 - $86,474 / year minimum starting pay
Job Level: Individual Contributor
Location: Columbia, Missouri (On-site, Full-time)
Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for leveraging data analysis, visualization, and insights to drive informed business decisions. Play a key role in extracting actionable insights from complex data sets and communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Data Analyst, with a focus on data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence using Tableau and Snowflake typically required.
  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, including data connection, dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, and data blending.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with Snowflake for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical concepts, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience in data modeling, data validation, and data governance principles.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry practices and metrics, such as underwriting, claims, and risk management, is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex analytical concepts to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Github, dbtLabs is desired.
  • Experience with Data Catalog & lineage tool is desired.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
