Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) –Residential, overnights | Garcia House (Fort Collins, CO)


Sign-on bonus: up to $9,000 for eligible candidates. Ask your recruiter about qualifications and details.


Overnight RN—Residential (Fort Collins/Longview). Provide crisis-focused nursing care in a 24/7 setting with interdisciplinary support. $35–$49/hr + $7/hr differential; up to $9k bonus.

  • Salary Range: $35 to $49 per hour, based on relevant years of experience
  • Location: Fort Collins, Colorado at our Garcia House
  • Status: Full-time overnight (Thursday, Friday and Saturday night)
  • Hours: 36 hours/week; three (3) 12-hour shifts

Shift differentials: Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Additional shift differentials are available for evenings, nights ($7/hour), weekends, and holidays.

Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Acute Behavioral Health team, you’ll deliver calm, skilled care in urgent, high-stress situations. You’ll partner with an interdisciplinary team to assess needs quickly, initiate treatment plans, and support clients and families with compassion and clear communication. You’ll also help coordinate safe transitions of care while following all clinical standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Residential (Garcia House) - a specialty co-occurring residential program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Essential duties

  • Assess clients, identify problems, provide crisis interventions, document significant interactions, and maintain clinical charts and required reporting data.
  • Provide prescribed medical treatments and personal care services.
  • Administer medications and monitor clients for therapeutic response and potential side effects.
  • Coordinate and consult with team members and providers to problem-solve medical care and interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a medication administration system.
  • Review lab reports, identify abnormalities, and refer findings to the provider as appropriate.
  • Audit medication storage, medication destruction processes, and MARS documentation according to state regulations.
  • Educate clients and consumers about medications, expected effects, and safe use.
  • Document progress notes related to therapy and medications, and report medication errors per policy.


Minimum qualifications

  • Eligible for Colorado RN licensure (unencumbered) and able to meet all licensing requirements for the role
  • Will train a new grad with strong interest in Behavioral Health and withdrawal management


Licenses and certifications

  • Colorado or Compact licensed nurse in good standing in state of licensure required
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
  • DORA license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required
  • Basic Life Support Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire


Preferred qualifications

  • 1-year experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
