  1. TITLE: Summer Grounds
  1. QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Valid Idaho Driver's License.
  2. Physically capable of performing assigned tasks.
  3. Mechanical aptitude.
  4. Ability to read and write and to understand operating instructions.
  5. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  6. Ability to work with staff, students and the public.
  7. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory.
  8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
  1. REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assists trades in all facets of grounds maintenance and care; including but not limited to: sprinkler system repair, weeding, trimming, mowing, etc.
  2. Maintains and weeds the district's landscape areas and planters.
  3. Operates grounds equipment safely and properly under the supervision of the Maintenance Lead.
  4. Completes required paperwork.
  5. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  6. Has regular and predictable attendance.
  1. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Performs all other duties as assigned.
  1. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a part-time, seasonal position. The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of Jefferson School District 251.
