Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Electrical Maintenance Coordinator to support and lead electrical and maintenance operations across a multi-building manufacturing campus. This role partners closely with Facilities leadership to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems, production equipment, and supporting infrastructure.

This leader will balance strategic planning with hands-on understanding of maintenance work, ensuring safe, efficient execution while minimizing production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate electrical and maintenance activities across five buildings, in alignment with Facilities leadership
  • Provide technical leadership for maintenance operations supporting 600-700 employees and 500-600+ machines, including CNC and foundry equipment
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute capital expenditure (CER) plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI justification
  • Ensure all equipment and electrical systems are maintained in a safe and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and meeting environmental and safety standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors, reinforcing strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance practices
  • Oversee and improve preventive and routine maintenance programs, including troubleshooting machinery, replacing components, and supporting equipment installations
  • Ensure teams are properly utilizing tools and equipment such as digital multimeters, test equipment, and standard mechanical/electrical tools
  • Reinforce and ensure compliance with all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, PPE usage, and safe work practices
  • Collaborate closely with Facilities, production, engineering, and EHS to reduce downtime and improve operational performance
  • Support off-hours response for critical equipment or electrical issues as needed
  • Plan and execute large-scale projects (equipment installs, upgrades, process improvements) with minimal guidance
  • Support vendor selection, contract negotiation, and contractor oversight
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost reduction, and efficiency

Qualifications

  • Master Electrician's license or related field required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in maintenance or engineering leadership within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of capital spending, budgeting, and project justification
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence across departments
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, electrical systems, and industrial equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Facilities infrastructure/ electrical and mechanical
  • Experience with CNC machining, foundry operations, or similar heavy manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, automation, and mechanical systems (hydraulics, pumps, etc.)
  • Experience with fabrication processes such as welding, grinding, and machining
  • Experience implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or lean maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and data-driven maintenance strategies

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (secure facility requirement)
  • Willingness to be on-call for critical issues
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead projects independently while aligning with Facilities and site leadership
