Job description

Equation Staffing Solutions is actively seeking experienced Forklift Operators with proven single and double blade forklift experience for a busy pallet logistics facility located in SE Calgary.ย 

This role is critical to maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring accurate, safe pallet movement throughout the facility. We are specifically looking for operators who are confident and experienced maneuvering both single and double blade forklifts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate single and double blade forklifts to transport, load, and unload pallets.
  • Load pallets onto trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
  • Move, stack, and store pallets in designated warehouse areas.
  • Prepare pallets for shipment according to daily schedules.
  • Verify outbound shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Report equipment issues or safety hazards to management.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and shifts as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1โ€“2 years of hands-on experience operating both single and double blade forklifts (required).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Warehouse environment subject to seasonal temperature changes.
  • Exposure to dust, noise (hearing protection provided), and heavy equipment traffic.
  • Regular lifting up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching.
  • Continuous standing and walking for 8โ€“10 hours per shift.
  • Ability to read labels, recognize hazards, and respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
