Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Your Role with Us:
Your keen attention to detail and expertise in quality standards will be essential for identifying defects and ensuring that all products and services consistently meet company requirements and customer expectations.

Core Functions:
  • Inspect parts both visually and dimensionally using micrometer, microscope, optical comparator, gauge pins, caliper, height indicator and scales according to the instructions in the Inspection Plans.
  • Perform incoming material sampling inspections according to specified plans.
  • Verify documentation provided by supplier meets the requirements for incoming materials.
  • Perform in-process sampling per inspection procedures and document results.
  • Perform final sampling per inspection procedures and document results.
  • Prepare final shipment, source inspection and documentation.
  • Perform lot transactions using the IQ system.
  • Follow procedures for documentation and disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and Dupont safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure product and lot readiness for source inspection and assist source inspectors as required.
  • Communicate clearly and document inspection results legibly.
  • Follow applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Background/Expertise:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) OR 3-6 months of related experience/coursework in inspection and gauging, reading of blueprints, Statistical Process Control (SPC) or geometric dimensioning and tolerancing required.
  • Self-motivated and able to make independent decisions
  • Proficient with using a microscope

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent use of microscopes and magnifying lamps.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Work occurs in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Occasional exposure to dust, odors, and fumes.
  • Noise levels range from quiet/moderate in inspection areas to loud on the production floor.
  • Safety glasses, gloves, and other protective gear as required in manufacturing areas.
