Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring that Bila Solar products meet all customer requirements, from incoming inspection of raw material to final inspection of finished goods. Responsible for understanding all production requirements (blueprints/work instructions/etc) and effectively verifying adherence to these standards. Responsible for documentation of inspection and initiating the non-conformance process if needed.

Our facility also produces an innovative, ultralight, 17-pound 520w module, designed for commercial rooftops and low-load-bearing structures, bringing solar to places traditional panels canโ€™t reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support creation and revisions of documentation (SOP, Inspection instructions, data collection, etc.)
  2. Support the development of Quality and Operations-related inspections.
  3. Able to fill in for Quality operation resources as needed to relieve breaks or cover in absences (willingness to be involved in cross training)
  4. Collaboration in troubleshooting and Root Cause investigations (data collection, feedback, etc)
  5. Provide recommendations for process adjustments
  6. Become proficient in use of production and inspection gages (training plan developed)
  7. Support material control activities including, but not limited to, non-conforming material and hold material disposition activities
  8. Support the development of training plans for Quality inspectors as well as production resources as needed (training matrix development)
  9. Inspection of material with an understanding of the specifications and requirements
  10. Performing quality testing as needed with training support
  11. Defect identification and procedure adherence for resolution
  12. Reporting on quality issues and managing records of inspection and compliance data.
  13. Potential for internal audit activities (work instructions, SOPs, etc.)

Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills, including Excel. Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Excellent follow-up skills. Individual must be able to work with limited supervision and actively participate in a team-oriented, continuous improvement, manufacturing environment.
