Role Overview: As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work as part of the Product Engineering team responsible for delivering an enterprise-class NetApp software product. You will leverage your development skills to contribute to both the creation and testing of software, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and innovative storage and data management products. Your role will include working closely with development to verify product functionality through automated and manual tests.
Essential Functions

  • Develop, implement, and execute automated software tests.
  • Verify systems/subsystems by understanding test requirements and formulating test cases.
  • Support inter-dependent development and testing activities.
  • Analyze and document test standards, procedures and results.
  • Work closely with development engineers and drive resolution of problems.
  • Contribute to test automation infrastructure, labs and testbeds.
  • Create and develop test automation strategies.
Job Requirements
  • Proficiency in Ruby or equivalent scripting language.
  • Experience with REST API development and testing.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, HTTP, and AWS APIs.
  • Knowledge of Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of distributed systems.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment with containers.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and continuous integration.

  • Job Posting Info: This is a pipeline position that will be opened on a recurring basis and used to fill roles aligned with the required skill sets.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering Testing and Automation; a Master's degree; or equivalent experience is required.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 113,050 - 168,300 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
