Hatch is seeking a Civil Engineering Tunnels Student with interest in Underground Structures engineering for a 4 or 8-month internship starting Fall 2026. Reporting to Tunnels Project Engineers you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga office.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Work as part of a design team, assisting with conceptual, preliminary and detailed design; site inspection; design calculations, report writing. 
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers and related disciplines as required to assist with project deliverables.  
  • Prepare design submissions and other technical documents.

You bring to the role:

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering at an accredited University.
  • Relevant courses:
    • Civil
    • Structural
    • Geotechnics
    • Utilities
    • Project Management
  • Knowledge of current technical engineering codes and practices.
  • Proficiency in the use of either or:  AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Civil3D 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

Compensation:

Range: $26.00 - $34.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
