Job description

RUX Software | Sales - Minneapolis, Minnesota (Hybrid)
RUX Software is a purpose-built Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ISV serving industrial equipment rental and commercial field service companies worldwide. With 30+ years of industry expertise, 500+ global clients, and a growing partner network across 12+ verticals, we build systems that help businesses run like clockwork, not patchwork. We launched as a brand in 2025 and we're building a sales engine to match our momentum.
Role Overview This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who wants to learn how B2B SaaS sales actually works from first touch to qualified pipeline. You'll work directly under our Chief Sales Officer and own the top of the funnel: researching prospects, running outbound sequences, qualifying inbound leads, and handing off warm opportunities to our Account Executives. If you're competitive, curious, and ready to develop real sales skills in a fast-moving tech company, this role is built for you.
What You Will Do
Outbound Prospecting
  • Research and identify target accounts within our ICP across industrial equipment rental, field service, adjacent verticals, and horizontal
  • Build and execute outbound sequences via HubSpot and Apollo targeting key decision-makers including CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and Operations Managers
  • Personalize outreach across email and LinkedIn to drive awareness and generate meetings
  • Continuously test and refine messaging to improve response and conversion rates

Lead Qualification
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, webinars, and trade shows
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect pain points, current systems, and buying timelines
  • Score and prioritize leads based on fit, intent, and urgency

Sales Handoff & Pipeline Support
  • Coordinate smooth handoffs of qualified opportunities to Account Executives with full context and next steps documented
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot and CRM
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align on campaign targets, follow-up sequences, and lead quality feedback

Learning & Development
  • Develop deep knowledge of RUX's product suite, the Microsoft Business Central ecosystem, and the industries we serve
  • Participate in weekly sales and marketing syncs to stay aligned on pipeline, campaigns, and market feedback
  • Work directly with the CSO to develop your sales craft, prospecting instincts, and career trajectory

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • A competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to build a career in sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can write a cold email that doesn't sound like one
  • Comfort with rejection and the resilience to keep going
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools is a plus but not required
  • Interest in the Microsoft partner ecosystem, ERP software, or industrial technology is a bonus

Why RUX
  • Direct mentorship from an experienced Chief Sales Officer
  • A clear path from BDR to Account Executive as the team grows
  • Remote-first with a Minnesota-based team for collaboration
  • A front-row seat to building a sales function from the ground up at a company with serious market momentum

Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with commission structure
  • Comprehensive insurance and 401k from day one
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • Supportive, collaborative, and customer-focused culture

At RUX Software, we understand that exceptional candidates may not meet every listed requirement. If you're excited about this role and believe you can make an impact, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and hire for talent, drive, and potential.
