Job description

OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager, Workplace Experience is responsible for designing, managing, and continuously improving Alo's workplace environments and operational systems to support employee productivity, engagement, and business growth. This role combines workplace operations, and employee experience with a strong focus on scalable systems, process optimization, and operational excellence.

The Senior Manager will lead corporate workplace initiatives across Alo's office portfolio, ensuring that facilities, services, and systems operate efficiently and seamlessly while aligning with Alo's culture and growth strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Workplace Strategy & Operations

  • Develop and execute a workplace experience strategy aligned with Alo's full time work model and business growth
  • Build and own scalable workplace operating systems, workflows, and tools to replace manual processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with People, Finance, IT, Legal, and Security to ensure alignment and operational consistency
  • Track and report on workplace performance metrics
  • Manage vendor relationships including security, cleaning, food service, maintenance, and other workplace services
  • Lead space planning, office openings, renovations, and relocations
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and building regulations
  • Develop and manage workplace budgets, forecasts, and cost controls

Operational Excellence & Risk Management 

  • Design and implement governance, controls, and automation to prevent operational inefficiencies, financial projection, and compliance assessment
  • Lead complex workplace initiatives and transitions with minimal disruption to employees and business operations
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to support speed, scalability, and reliability

Automation & Systems Enablement

  • Leverage automation and integrated tools to streamline workplace operations and employee requests
  • Implement self-service solutions that reduce administrative burden and improve turnaround times
  • Partner with IT and other stakeholders to enhance system integrations and data accuracy

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop workplace team members
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
  • Foster a service-oriented, employee-first mindset across the workplace team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in workplace experience, facilities management, workplace operations, or corporate real estate
  • 3-5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Proven experience managing multi-site office portfolios and vendor relationships
  • Strong operational and process-driven mindset with experience building scalable systems
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Detail-oriented with strong execution capabilities
  • Ability to manage complex initiatives with minimal disruption
  • Employee-centric, service-oriented approach
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience supporting high-growth or multi-entity organizations
  • Familiarity with automation tools, workflow systems, and integrated workplace platforms
  • Strong cross-functional partnership experience with People, Finance, IT, and Legal teams

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$160,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
