CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist II to join our Environmental Team in Atlanta, GA or Duluth, GA. In this role, you’ll bring your growing scientific experience to the field and the office—supporting environmental investigations, analysis, reporting, and solutions that make a real difference.


  • Support projects focused on hazardous building material assessments/inspections. Collect bulk samples, prepare for shipping,  and interpret analytical  laboratory reports and summarize data sets
  • Support and complete visual clearance inspections for abatement projects pertaining to asbestos, lead paint and mold remediation projects
  • Support office-based tasks including data analysis, report writing, and preliminary design and technical specification preparation
  • Assist mid- and senior-level scientists and engineers on a variety of environmental project tasks, including providing technical assistance to project engineers on geologic, hydrologic, biologic, or other scientific factors affecting environmental outcomes
  • Review and evaluate potential impacts of federal, state, and local environmental legislation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field required
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience required
  • EPA-accredited asbestos building inspector certification required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective scientific discipline
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to expand scientific knowledge and grow within the discipline
  • Ability to conduct field work in various weather conditions and physically navigate diverse environments
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • EPA-accredited asbestos project designer certification a plus
  • EPA Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor a plus
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plus
