Forklift Operator

Pay: $20

We are hiring for a Forklift Operator to join our growing team! This position is eligible for a quarterly production & monthly Attendance bonuses!

The Forklift Operator is responsible for coordinating, organizing and inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following:

  • Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the Midtown team. Responsible for following all company safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure quality standards and workmanship standards for Sellars products are met on a continuing basis.
  • Understand and fully comply with the Sellars' concept of "move to the work." This means ensuring all tasks required to operate efficiently.
  • Promote and support the Good Warehouse Management Practices.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy of Roll Goods.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain all Logistics paperwork.
  • Maintain, organize, and coordinate the movement (using FIFO methods, if possible).
  • Complete and verify all documentation and forms (receipt, inventory, or shipment related) are accurate.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized and efficiently maintained.
  • Load and unload trailers, trucks, and containers in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of the workings of Sellars Distribution Center.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills dealing with issues in a positive, complete manner.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Demonstrated capability to function within a team setting
  • Flexibility in work assignments and overtime hours.
  • Ability to exercise professionalism, courtesy, and tact in dealing with all members of the Sellars organization and external resources.
  • Ability to read and interpret all documents used in the Distribution Center.
  • Positive work attitude.
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse/Distribution Center is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in material handling required.
