Job description

The Entry Screening Officer is responsible for helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all guests and hosts at Anakeesta. This role controls park access and conducts entrance screening in a professional and guest-focused manner while supporting Anakeesta Security’s core values of Vigilance, Integrity, and Professionalism. Entry Screening Officers provide a positive first impression, assist guests with basic questions and directions, remain alert to potential safety concerns, and respond appropriately to changing crowd conditions. This position requires extended periods of standing and outdoor work in varying weather conditions and may include all other duties as assigned.  

Your Responsibilities 

  • Greet all guests and hosts in a friendly, calm, and professional manner 

  • Control access at guest, host, and service entrances 

  • Conduct visual and mechanical bag searches and guest screening 

  • Operate walk-through entry screening devices and handheld screening devices 

  • Perform secondary screening and address prohibited items with professionalism and discretion 

  • Provide basic guest services, including directions, answering questions, and positive interaction 

  • Maintain vigilance for suspicious activity and promptly report concerns to Security leadership or law enforcement 

  • Adapt to changing crowd flow and work multiple screening positions as operational needs require 

  • Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions 

  • Receive and transfer lost property to Lost & Found in accordance with procedures 

  • Uphold Anakeesta Security core values of Vigilance, Integrity, and Professionalism 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned 

What You Need 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Prior security, screening, or guest-facing experience preferred 

  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-volume situations 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely 

  • Willingness to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical activity 

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons 

  • Unarmed or Armed Security license or ability to obtain 

  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials independently and with team assistance when necessary. 

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead. 

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and stairs. 

  • Ability to safely handle heavy, bulky, or awkward items using proper lifting techniques and assistance as needed. 

  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment with frequent movement and manual labor activities.
