Job description

OCTO - PowerBI Developer

1-5 years of experience. Entry‑level Power BI Developer that supports data analytics and reporting by building interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI by leveraging foundational knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and data visualization principles.

Responsibilities:
1.Assist in building interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.

2. Support data cleaning, transformation, and modeling tasks under guidance from senior team members.

3. Maintain and update existing Power BI reports and datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.

4. Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.

5. Use SQL or other query tools to extract and prepare data from various sources.

6. Troubleshoot basic data or report issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately.

7. Document reporting processes, data definitions, and visualization standards.

8. Stay current with Power BI features and best practices to improve team reporting capabilities.

9. Participate in team reviews of dashboard requirements and provide input on visualization options. 

10.Monitor existing reports to ensure they refresh successfully and troubleshoot data refresh issues. 

11. Maintain documentation of datasets, data pipelines, and report logic for internal stakeholders. 

12. Collaborate with senior developers to implement role‑level security in Power BI where required. 

13. Learn and apply best practices in data modeling, including star schema design, DAX fundamentals, and performance optimization. 

14. Assist in preparing presentation‑ready visual summaries for leadership or project teams. 

15. Stay up to date with new Power BI features, analytics trends, and internal tooling improvements.

16. Assist team members with creating dashboards in ServiceNow platform analytics
