Account Manager, Paid Search
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Account Manager, Paid Search to oversee and optimize paid search campaigns for a portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for developing campaign strategies, managing day-to-day ad operations, collaborating with internal teams, and driving measurable business results. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools and automation to improve campaign management efficiency, surface insights, accelerate testing, and enhance overall account performance.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy amp; Execution
  • Develop and implement paid search strategies across platforms such as Google Ads amp; Microsoft Ads
  • Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, and competitive analysis to enhance campaign performance.
  • Manage campaign structures, including ad groups, keyword lists, ad creatives, extensions, and landing pages.
  • Work cross-functionally with Creative, Paid Social, SEO, and CRO teams to develop high-converting ad creatives, ad copy, share performance insights, and collaborate on landing page optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate automation and AI workflows into campaign management processes to improve speed, consistency, and scalability.
Optimization amp; Performance Monitoring
  • Continuously monitor and optimize campaigns to meet client KPIs
  • Adjust bids, budgets, ad copy, and landing pages to improve efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Implement scaling strategies while maintaining performance goals.
  • Conduct data analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B experiments to improve campaign results.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate performance analysis, anomaly detection, and optimization prioritization without compromising accuracy or strategic oversight.
Reporting amp; Analysis
  • Leverage tools like Google Analytics (GA4) amp; Looker Studio to track performance and provide insights.
  • Develop and maintain reports/dashboards using Google Sheets, Excel , Looker Studio, while utilizing our data warehousing tools.
  • Analyze search term reports and audience insights to refine targeting strategies.
  • Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Use AI-assisted analysis tools to synthesize performance trends, identify actionable insights, and streamline recurring reporting workflows.
Client Communication amp; Account Management
  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, leading calls, emails, and Slack communications.
  • Conduct client onboarding, performance updates, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and client objectives.
Thought Leadership amp; Industry Knowledge
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to refine campaign strategies including emerging AI capabilities across paid media platforms and identify practical applications that can improve team workflows and client outcomes.
  • Contribute to Paid Search thought leadership within the organization including the development of internal best practices for using AI in paid search strategy, execution, reporting, and experimentation.
  • Assist with PTO account coverage across the Paid Search department as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Paid Search campaigns, preferably in an agency or performance marketing environment.
  • Strong expertise in Google Ads amp; Microsoft Ads
  • Proficiency in Google Looker Studio amp; Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Advanced data analysis skills using Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of pixel tracking, UTM parameters, and server-side tracking
Preferred, but Not Required
  • Experience running app-based campaigns in Google Ads and Apple Search Ads.
  • Hands on experience managing Local Service Ads (LSAs)
  • Retail media experience managing campaigns in Amazon Ads.
  • Experience running YouTube Ads and understanding video-based performance marketing.
