Underground Utilities Foreman – Lead Civil and Infrastructure Utility Projects

Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will serve as a critical field leader, driving the successful execution of complex underground utility projects. This role allows you to mentor our workforce while ensuring high-quality pipe and infrastructure installations for a company that values your individual contribution. You will have the autonomy to manage labor and equipment with the support of a leadership team that values respect and personal achievement.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Coordinate daily and weekly work activities to ensure all labor, materials, and equipment align with project schedules.

  • Enforce strict company safety policies and OSHA regulations, specifically focusing on trench safety and confined space protocols.

  • Supervise work in progress to ensure total compliance with project layouts, grades, and municipal quality standards.

  • Execute accurate documentation of daily reports, timecards, and inventory tracking using electronic iPad tools.

  • Resolve real-time technical field issues and logistical obstacles to prevent project downtime or cost overruns.

  • Perform precise site layouts and as-built documentation utilizing Topcon or Trimble GPS Rover systems.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience in underground utility construction, including water, sewer, and storm systems.

  • Proven ability to lead crews with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Advanced knowledge of excavation, pipe installation, grading, and trenching requirements.

  • Proficiency in using construction management software such as HCSS Heavy Job, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Valid Driver’s License is required to travel to and manage various project sites.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred for this leadership position.

  • CDL Class A license is a plus for assisting with heavy equipment logistics.

  • Demonstrated experience in operating or directing the operation of excavators, loaders, and dozers.
