Job description

Job Title: Commercial – Wheel Refurbish Technician

Reports To: Tony Dinkins/Chris Calloway/Brian Peters

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM

Job Summary:

The Wheel Refurbish Technician will be responsible for cleaning and painting commercial truck wheels. Employees in this position will primarily be working inside the shop area and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions and Tasks:

  • Clean and prepare used rims for paint application.
  • Apply powder coating to rims.
  • Cure rims in oven.
  • Keep service area clean to enhance a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
  • Communicate safety concerns and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediately.
  • Assist Truck Tire Service Technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a service-related industry
  • Forklift certification preferred, training will be provided

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
  • Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
  • Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
  • Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
  • Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.

Work Environment:

This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
