Location: Raleigh, NC
Why Join Our Client
Our client is a respected and growing technology and low-voltage integration firm known for delivering complex, high-quality solutions across commercial construction projects. Their culture is built around teamwork, trust, accountability, and long-term career growth. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative organization where leadership values people just as much as performance-and where projects are delivered successfully because everyone wins together.
Role Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for leading technology and low-voltage scopes of work from pre-construction through close-out. This role oversees safety compliance, subcontractor coordination, bid and change management, scheduling, budgeting, and collaboration with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
This position serves as a subject matter expert and trusted leader, integrating technology solutions while maintaining quality, financial performance, and schedule adherence across assigned projects.
What You'll Be Doing
Core Responsibilities
  • Champion and support a strong safety culture, promoting an injury-free work environment through leadership and mentorship
  • Coordinate technology design and construction efforts to meet constructability, quality, financial, and technical standards
  • Participate in pre-construction efforts including RFP reviews, subcontractor and supplier coordination
  • Partner with the pre-construction team on scope validation, leveling, contract negotiations, and procurement strategy
  • Review and manage change orders and pricing with Project Engineers and subcontractors
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including communication, scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Coordinate site activities, walks, meetings, and reporting with jobsite teams and general contractors
  • Provide technical expertise related to design-assist, installation, and network/system integration
  • Develop project-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices
  • Review quantity takeoffs, obtain pricing, and assist with developing accurate budgets and hard bids
  • Manage project budgets, costs, and projections in alignment with project goals
  • Support OSHA and union safety standards and compliance
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project teams in a proactive and collaborative manner
  • Track and report progress against project milestones
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained and archived at project close-out
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage the technology consulting process with clients, owners, consultants, and contractors
  • Identify and support emerging technologies aligned with smart building solutions
  • Collaborate with sales teams on new technology offerings and market opportunities
  • Maintain professional expertise through continuing education, industry involvement, and networking
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of team members as the organization grows
  • Foster positive relationships with local municipalities, civic organizations, and union partners
What We're Looking For
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong project management experience within technology, low-voltage, or construction environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and lead meetings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex schedules
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to build long-term professional relationships
