SENIOR MANAGER - INFRASTRUCTURE

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Infrastructure Senior Manager is a technical and managerial role responsible for all infrastructure within Resilience. The role operates under the direction of the Digital Tech Ops Head to architect, implement, and maintain infrastructure that ensures operational continuity and regulatory compliance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure supporting Manufacturing, Packaging, Laboratory, and Warehouse operations, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Administer and optimize VMware vSphere virtualization environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter operations, resource allocation, and virtual machine lifecycle management.

Manage SAN storage solutions (Pure Storage or equivalent) including provisioning, performance tuning, capacity planning, and integration with virtualized infrastructure.

Monitor server health, performance and alerting using SolarWinds, analyzing metrics to proactively identify and remediate potential issues.

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication, ensuring RPO/RTO compliance and regular restoration testing.

Collaborate with NetSecOps teams to implement cyber security strategies.

Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022) including Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

Administer Active Directory environments including user/group management, Organizational Unit design, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and RBAC implementations.

Lead the team providing architectural reviews and technical consultations for new system implementations, assessing infrastructure requirements, security implications, and integration points.

Ensure the team maintains comprehensive change control documentation for all infrastructure modifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Significant experience working with IT infrastructure in a pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or highly regulated environment.

Proven experience managing a team supporting and building IT infrastructure in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotech environment.

Extensive hands-on experience with VMware vSphere administration including ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, and HA configurations.

Strong experience with SAN storage administration, preferably Pure Storage, including volume provisioning, replication, and performance optimization.

Advanced knowledge of Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022) including Azure, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and DHCP.

Demonstrated experience designing and validating backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam Backup & Replication, with proven RPO/RTO achievement.

Understanding of Quality Management Systems, Change Control processes, and CSV principles.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Strong customer service orientation with ability to balance technical requirements against business needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience working with IT infrastructure in a pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or highly regulated environment.

2+ years of experience managing a team supporting and building IT infrastructure in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotech environment.

Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as Keeper, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or similar platforms.

Hands-on experience with enterprise patching solutions including Ivanti Patch Management, PDQ Connect, or Microsoft SCCM/WSUS.

Working knowledge of Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless controllers) including configuration and troubleshooting.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Network Engineering, or related technical field.

Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management best practices.

Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their infrastructure requirements.

Experience with infrastructure monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Datadog, or Prometheus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is primarily an onsite position requiring physical presence at the manufacturing facility. Remote work is allowed on days when physical presence is not required.

May require occasional evening or weekend work for planned maintenance activities.

Some travel may be required for training, conferences, or support of other company sites.

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $130,000.00 - $193,750.00 per year.
