What are Repo Sales?

Repo Sales, short for Repurchase Agreement Sales, involve selling and buying back securities, typically in the form of short-term loans between financial institutions. In a repo transaction, one party sells securities to another and agrees to repurchase them at a specified later date and price. Repo Sales professionals facilitate these deals, managing liquidity and funding needs for banks and other institutions. This market is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of financial markets by providing short-term funding and helping institutions manage cash reserves efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Repo Sales professional, and why are they important?

To excel in Repo Sales, you need a solid understanding of financial markets, money market instruments, and repo transactions, usually supported by a degree in finance or economics. Familiarity with trading platforms, Bloomberg terminals, and relevant regulatory certifications like FINRA Series 7 or 63 is typical. Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and analytical thinking are crucial for building client relationships and executing trades effectively. These skills and qualifications are vital for managing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving revenue in a competitive market environment.

How do Repo Sales professionals typically collaborate with trading and risk management teams?

Repo Sales professionals work closely with both trading and risk management teams to structure and execute repurchase agreements that meet client needs while adhering to the firm's risk policies. They communicate real-time market developments, client interests, and liquidity requirements to traders, helping to negotiate competitive rates and terms. Additionally, they coordinate with risk management to ensure that proposed transactions stay within credit and counterparty risk limits, making collaboration essential for both client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Job description

Flexcompute is a cutting-edge technology startup that specializes in ultra-fast simulation technology. Our products are utilized by companies in designing and optimizing technology products, with applications ranging from designing airplanes and cars to wind turbines and quantum computing chips. Our customer base includes both household names and startups in emerging industries. Our company was founded by world-renowned leaders in simulation technology from Stanford University and MIT. Backed by top VC firms, we are poised to disrupt the billion-dollar engineering simulation industry with our fast-growing trajectory
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Account Executive - Physics Intelligence to drive adoption of Flexcompute's next-generation simulation stack-Aero Intelligence, including GeometryAI, Flow360, and Physics Repo. This AE will be responsible for selling a category-defining platform that learns as it simulates, automates geometry workflows, accelerates simulation cycles, and eliminates traditional engineering bottlenecks.
What Makes This Role Unique
You are selling the industry's first AI-native physics platform that combines real-time design iteration, geometry automation, multi-physics simulation, neural memory, and continuous learning. This role places you at the center of transforming how physical products-from EVs to aircraft-are designed over the next decade.
Requirements
  • Drive new business for Aero Intelligence across industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, robotics, and manufacturing.
  • Communicate how Aero Intelligence eliminates traditional bottlenecks across geometry prep, meshing, simulation setup, and analysis.
  • Deliver high-impact demos of GeometryAI automation, Flow360 GPU-native solvers, and Physics Repo continuous learning.
  • Engage senior engineering leadership (Chief Engineers, Heads of Aero/Thermal/Structures/Acoustics/Design).
  • Lead discovery conversations around design cycles, simulation challenges, and cross-disciplinary engineering workflows.
  • Translate complex physics and engineering workflows into compelling ROI narratives.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering to define and execute evaluations.
  • Drive multi-stakeholder enterprise deals through forecasting, negotiation, and account expansion.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be intellectually curious and comfortable discussing CFD, geometry workflows, aerodynamics, and multi-physics concepts.
  • 5-12 years of enterprise software or technical SaaS sales experience.
  • Experience selling to engineering-heavy organizations strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Chief Engineers, and simulation teams.
  • Strong consultative selling capabilities and ability to articulate workflow transformation.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, AI-driven engineering environment.
  • Advanced STEM degree preferred but not required.
Success Metrics
  • New ARR and multi-year commitments closed.
  • Full workflow adoption across GeometryAI → Flow360 → Physics Repo.
  • Expansion into additional engineering teams and physics domains.
  • High win rate vs. legacy tools and CPU-based solvers.
  • Executive adoption of Aero Intelligence as a strategic differentiator.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, strong commission accelerators, and full benefits.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation with equity of a fast-growing startup.
  • Medical, dental, and vision health insurance.
  • 401(k) Contribution.
  • Gym allowance.
  • Friendly, thoughtful, and intelligent coworkers.
