Position Overview

We are seeking a full stack engineer to join our team of smart and driven developers who are building real-world solutions for the construction industry. Our experiences power construction teams in the office, trailer and field, enabling them to understand and execute on projects with a level of speed, safety and predictability which was never possible in pure paper workflows.
On the Product Enablement team, we own a number of backend APIs and frontend applications within the Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud) Admin Console, powering user workflows such as license management, subscriptions, and entitlements. Our customers include both Forma customers using these workflows as well as other teams at Autodesk who rely on our APIs to make decisions around access levels and permissions. Our work serves as a foundation that enables our customers to access and utilize a wide range of products within the Forma suite.

Responsibilities

• Building, shipping, and maintaining features on our products in a cloud environment (AWS)

• Understanding product and business requirements as a foundation for making technical decisions

• Maintaining a high standard of code quality by promoting team best practices around testing, code reviews, and design patterns

• Translating complex design and product requirements into discrete engineering tasks with level of effort estimates alongside teammates

• Communicating status updates, identifying potential blockers, and resolving the root cause of slowdowns with the rest of the team

• Participating in the on-call rotation to support the systems in the production environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a technical field

• 1+ years of software development experience

• Experience or willingness to learn our Javascript + Typescript tech stack

• Experience building scalable modern web applications

• Ability to define and interact with RESTful APIs

• Experience in writing production-level code with automated tests that is resilient and scalable

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially around technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• A strong sense of ownership

• Experience with modern Javascript technologies such as React and node.js

• Product engineering mindset and customer empathy to provide the right technical solution to real users' problems

• Willingness to travel to occasional team off-sites, conferences, and other work events (approximately 1-2 weeks per year)

Nous recherchons un ingenieur full-stack pour rejoindre notre equipe de developpeurs brillants et motives qui concoivent des solutions concretes pour le secteur de la construction. Nos solutions accompagnent les equipes de construction au bureau, sur les chantiers et sur le terrain, leur permettant de comprendre et de mener a bien leurs projets avec une rapidite, une securite et une previsibilite qui etaient auparavant impossibles a atteindre avec des processus purement papier.

Au sein de l'equipe Product Enablement, nous gerons un certain nombre d'API backend et d'applications frontend au sein de la console d'administration Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud), qui alimentent les workflows des utilisateurs tels que la gestion des licences, les abonnements et les droits d'acces.

Nos clients comprennent a la fois les utilisateurs de Forma qui utilisent ces flux de travail et d'autres equipes chez Autodesk qui s'appuient sur nos API pour prendre des decisions concernant les niveaux d'acces et les autorisations. Notre travail sert de base permettant a nos clients d'acceder a et d'utiliser une large gamme de produits au sein de la suite Forma.

Responsabilites

• Developper, deployer et maintenir les fonctionnalites de nos produits dans un environnement cloud (AWS)

• Comprendre les exigences produit et metier pour prendre des decisions techniques

• Maintenir un niveau eleve de qualite du code en promouvant les meilleures pratiques de l'equipe en matiere de tests, de revues de code et de modeles de conception

• Traduire des exigences de conception et de produit complexes en taches d'ingenierie distinctes, avec des estimations de l'effort requis, en collaboration avec les coequipiers

• Communiquer les mises a jour de statut, identifier les obstacles potentiels et resoudre la cause profonde des ralentissements avec le reste de l'equipe

• Participer a la rotation des astreintes pour assurer le support des systemes en environnement de production

Qualifications minimales

• Licence ou diplome superieur dans un domaine technique

• Au moins 1 an d'experience en developpement logiciel

• Experience ou volonte d'apprendre notre pile technologique Javascript + Typescript

• Experience dans la creation d'applications web modernes et evolutives

• Capacite a definir et a interagir avec des API RESTful

• Experience dans l'ecriture de code de niveau production avec des tests automatises, resilient et evolutif

• Solides competences en communication ecrite et orale, notamment autour des concepts techniques

Qualifications souhaitees

• Un sens aigu des responsabilites

• Experience avec les technologies JavaScript modernes telles que React et Node.js

• Esprit d'ingenierie produit et empathie envers les clients pour fournir la solution technique adaptee aux problemes reels des utilisateurs

• Disponibilite pour voyager a l'occasion pour des reunions hors site de l'equipe, des conferences et d'autres evenements professionnels (environ 1 a 2 semaines par an)
