Position Summary

Retail Customer Care is seeking a remote contact center Pharmacist with a Pharmacist degree and license, but team members do not actively dispense prescriptions to patients/customers/members. Apply highly developed skills to provide medication therapy management and clinical consultation to healthcare professionals by staying updated with evidence-based practices and monitoring adverse events. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and delivers patient education by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and engaging in clinical research and teaching. Ensure patient safety and enhance overall healthcare outcomes through expert clinical pharmacy services.

*Due to regulatory restrictions, candidates cannot live in Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Washington DC.

Available Shifts:

  • Wed/Sat - 11:30am to 8:00pm & Thurs/Fri - 8:00am to 8:00pm EST

or

  • Wednesday through Saturday 9:30am-8pm EST

What you will do

  • Communicates with customers over the phone or through other communication channels to address their medication-related concerns and ensure optimal medication therapy management.

  • Verifies the accuracy and appropriateness of prescription orders received from customers, ensuring that the prescribed medications align with the patient's health conditions and potential drug interactions.

  • Responds to patient inquiries about drug information, such as medication dosages, storage requirements, and potential drug interactions.

  • Conducts research on insurance processes to assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and resolve issues with medication claims and reimbursement.

  • Designs a comprehensive customer care system for the pharmacy network to facilitate record-keeping of patient profiles and medication histories.

  • Develops a collaborative care network with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care, ultimately leading to a more positive patient experiences.

  • Establishes customer care service protocols to emphasize the importance of exceptional customer service by addressing medication-related concerns.

  • Helps establish and implement the pharmacy's medication safety plan to monitor for potential medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and contraindications.

  • Integrates reminder systems, medication synchronization, and counseling into customer care practices to ensure quality customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years' pharmacy work experience

  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure required in state of residence.

  • Ability to obtain Pharmacist license in State of Rhode Island within 90 days of hire

  • Advanced problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Advanced growth mindset skills (agility and developing yourself and others).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$50.48 - $93.08

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
