Job Summary:

As a Staff Data Analyst at SmithRx, you'll play a pivotal role on a high-impact Data team, leading through technical excellence, mentoring emerging talent, and delivering insights that accelerate our mission to make healthcare more affordable & accessible. What you will do:

As a Staff Data Analyst you will:

  • Establish Data-Driven Business Command
    • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to design key business metrics, dashboards, data products, and AI-enabled reporting systems that are widely-adopted and empower data-informed decisions
    • Leverage advanced skill to conduct rigorous analyses that reveal root causes, uncover opportunities, forecast outcomes, and drive positive product & business impact
    • Transform complex findings into compelling narratives that influence strategic direction
  • Champion Trustworthy Data
    • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to influence the design, development, and maintenance of dimensional data models, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and reliably delivered
    • Champion world-class data governance practices, continuously raising the bar for data & code quality across technical teams
  • Amplify Team Performance
    • Partner with stakeholders to align roadmaps with business priorities, influence better problem framing, and model a standard of excellence
    • Operate as a force multiplier whose influence fosters growth across the whole Data team, providing incisive technical mentorship, inspiring intellectual curiosity, and driving clarity amidst ambiguity

What you will bring to SmithRx:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (i.e., STEM) Master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience influencing product and business decision-making through advanced analytical skill
    • Healthcare and/or pharmacy experience is preferred
  • Advanced technical proficiency, including deep experience:
    • Collaborating with Data & Analytics Engineers to architect robust data models and institute world-class data quality guardrails
    • Leveraging SQL & dbt to query, transform, and validate complex data sets
    • Designing, presenting, and influencing people with data products & visualizations that deliver impactful and actionable insights
  • A self-starter mentality, proactively identifying novel ways to drive impact, devising creative solutions to complex challenges, and independently delivering on commitments
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, seamlessly adapting between business and technical audiences
  • Proven leadership prowess, including the ability to drive clarity by articulating a compelling vision and bring people along with you
