HDR Remodeling is an award-winning Design-Build firm celebrating 37 years of satisfied residential clients in the East Bay Area.


We specialize in whole-house renovations, kitchen and bath remodeling, garage and basement conversions. Our start-to-finish processfrom design concept to permit-ready plans to productionwill guide you along the way to make sure your project is completed on time and on budget and take the uncertainty and stress out of remodeling your home.

We are looking for a highly skilled "bags on" Project Manager interested in long-term, full-time employment with a well-established company, with opportunities. This position involves physical building with team members and supervision.


We usually have 3 to 5 projects in production at any given time. Our work is focused exclusively in the East Bay area, spanning from Oakland and Piedmont to El Cerrito. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing and leading their own projects while also overseeing others.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact with the Design Team and assist with estimating
  • Assist with pre-construction preparations
  • Create project schedules and production goals
  • Supervise and help coordinate the work of the Lead Carpenters and Carpenters.
  • Schedule, supervise, and coordinate subcontractors
  • Understand the scope of work and budget for each project
  • Ensure the job is on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure that the finished project meets the companys high standards for quality and workmanship
  • Interact with clients and address any concerns they may have
  • Recognize and execute change orders when necessary
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Work independently with minimum direct supervision and as part of a team


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of residential remodeling carpenter experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Lead Carpenter experience
  • Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Superior knowledge of construction methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of building/construction codes
  • Must be able to read and execute plans
  • Be organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Able to interact and communicate well with your crew, subcontractors, and the client
  • Skilled in using technology, including smartphones, Excel, Word, and other applications.
  • Live in the East Bay area
  • Possess strong written and verbal English skills
  • Be punctual, loyal, and safe. Maintain a good personal appearance and develop positive habits.
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Truck (with rack) and tools to complete all aspects of residential remodeling
  • Current auto insurance and registration
  • Clean driving record (no more than one point) with no DUIs or Felony convictions
  • Contractors license a plus and/or college degree, a plus
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 100 pounds
