HR & Recruiting Assistant - Full Time

As our HR Assistant, you will provide overall support to the HR Department as well as specific support to the recruiting function in the areas of posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews and onboarding. This role supports HR operations while working within established policies, procedures and guidance from the HR team.
This is a critical support role interacting often with a wide range of people both internally and externally that requires a high level of professionalism, exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Schedule
FT Mon-Fri, 830a - 430p, at Raleigh, NC location.
Hybrid option after training period.
Pay
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience.

Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $100 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays.
Job Responsibilities of an HR Assistant
  • Assist Recruiter and Onboarding Lead (ROL) in completing the majority of preliminary screening of resumes and completing screening calls to qualify applicants for interviews using AI to help summarize calls.
  • Coordinate with hiring teams to schedule interviews; follow up with teams post-interview and coordinate next steps with ROL.
  • Maintain shared recruitment needs spreadsheet as needed.
  • Responsible for obtaining new hire references.
  • Set up new hire orientation room, greet/welcome new employees, collect IDs and photos.
  • Create new hire badges and keycards, distribute company t-shirts/swag.
  • Attend and participate in college and other job fairs with ROL.
  • Assist with writing and placing job advertising on company website, applicant tracking system, and various recruiting sources including internal job postings once approved by ROL.
  • Schedule staff for required trainings (CPR/CPSS, etc.)
  • Maintain Relias Learning with adding new hires, assign new hire training, help create new trainings, adding completed trainings, system maintenance
  • Audit assistance - pulling/verifying files as needed
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, documents, correspondence as requested by HR staff
  • Assist with meeting preparations/agency events as needed to include, sourcing and ordering food, set up/take down of tables and chair as needed, clean up, etc.

Qualifications of an HR Assistant
Education and Experience
  • HS diploma with 2-4 years broad human resources experience, or
  • Associate's Degree with 1 year broad human resources experience
  • Experience with behavioral health population preferred
  • Experience with recruiting preferred

Licensure/Certifications
  • Notary desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in ATS, HRIS, payroll systems preferred.
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills as well as other digital collaboration tools (AI)
  • Ability to set priorities, be flexible, multi-task, and take direction
  • Ability to work and problem solve independently
  • Basic math skills
