These skills ensure safe, timely, and efficient ground operations critical to airline performance and passenger satisfaction.

What are Ramp Leads?

Ramp Leads are supervisory personnel at airports who oversee ramp agents and ground operations. They coordinate the loading and unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail, ensure aircraft are properly marshaled, and enforce safety procedures on the tarmac. Ramp Leads act as a liaison between ground crews, flight crews, and airline management to ensure flights are serviced efficiently and safely. Their role is critical in maintaining on-time departures and arrivals, as well as upholding safety standards.
