Job Summary

This role involves assisting physicians with procedures, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and managing patient flow, along with performing limited X-ray procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Greeting and preparing patients for examinations.
- Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
- Recording patient history and updating medical records.
- Assisting with procedures, such as injections, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Administering medications as directed by the physician.
- Providing patient education and instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized exam room.
- Operating X-ray equipment and positioning patients for procedures.
- Ensuring proper radiation safety protocols are followed.
- Developing and maintaining X-ray films.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting X-ray equipment.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring proper documentation.
- Preparing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
- Answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
Experience
Minimum Required
Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an ambulatory care environment
Preferred/Desired
Minimum of one year experience.
Education
Minimum Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Training
Minimum Required
Approved medical assistant course.
Special Skills
Minimum Required
Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPPA regulations, and infection control procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Licensure
Minimum Required
Certified by a National Certification Board.
