Job description

MISSION OF NCS

Our mission is to provide the children of NCS with new educational opportunities through a rigorous, comprehensive K-8 program that cultivates the intellectual, social, and emotional development of each child. Our students, who will include autistic scholars and students with IEPs, will become independent learners and critical thinkers, will acquire the academic skills that they need to succeed in college preparatory high schools, and will exhibit the social and emotional skills that will allow them to reach their full potential. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for a professional with prior experience in the field of technology. The Technology Associate will report to the Director of IT and support in implementing systems network-wide. The tech associate will be responsible for responding to the needs of our school community and providing quality customer service. This role will also work closely with our operations teams at each campus to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.

The core responsibilities of the Technology Associate role at Neighborhood Charter Schools include:

Daily Operations

  • Support the day-to-day operations across all NCS technology
  • Primary contact for setup and troubleshooting A/V equipment throughout the organization
  • Answering staff and/or family ticket inquiries and providing quality customer service
  • Flexibility to travel between school locations

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of IT to guide and support vendors with network-wide projects
  • Assists the Director of IT and vendors in maintaining end users’ equipment (including Windows PCs, Mac/IOS devices, Chromebooks, printers, Promethean boards, etc.)
  • Interacts with internal and external personnel regarding hardware, software, e-mail, and networks
  • Ensure devices are up to date with the latest software, and troubleshoot devices if interruptions arise in the daily operations of the device
  • Assists the Senior Technology Manager with processing feedback from other departments to create a plan for future purchases and upgrades to the school environment
  • Assists theDirector of IT with communicating with vendors on developing the NCS IT environment 
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience with systems administration (preferred)

  • Experience working in a school setting (preferred)
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to manage time and set priorities

  • Acute attention to detail to ensure smooth, predictable, and effective outcomes

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Salary range: $63,000-$75,190
