Job description

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington seeks a highly organized and adaptable Operations Associate to help power the day-to-day work of the Communications team, ensuring our community engagement and communications efforts move forward with clarity, consistency, and momentum.
This role helps keep complex communications work moving-on time, accurately, and with care-so our messaging reflects the work, impact, and priorities of our community. You'll coordinate workflows across communications, digital, and events, contribute to the development of digital assets, and help make sure the right details reach the right people at the right time.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys bringing order to moving pieces, following through on details, and helping a mission-driven team do its best work behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Keep projects moving by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables-and flagging issues before they become delays
  • Coordinate logistics, workflows, and materials to keep execution organized and on schedule
  • Support email, content, and digital projects from early coordination, development, and final delivery
  • Partner closely with the Director of Marketing & Operations to support prioritization, workflow, and follow-through
  • Build alignment across teams by gathering information, following up consistently, and keeping stakeholders in sync
  • Pitch in on event execution as needed, including logistics, materials, onsite coordination, and some evenings and weekends

Success Looks Like
  • Projects are delivered on time and accurately
  • Timelines are visible and up to date
  • Assets and final deliverables are organized, tagged, and accessible
  • Stakeholders receive timely follow-up
  • Risks are flagged early and addressed proactively
  • Judgment is used to prioritize and communicate clearly across teams

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in operations, project coordination, or related role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with ClickUp or similar tools a plus
  • Familiarity with web, form, and email platforms.
  • Familiarity with Jewish customs and community life, or willingness to learn
  • Able to work evenings and weekends based on event schedule
  • Able to lift, carry, and move event materials and equipment
  • Able to stand and remain active for extended periods
