Description:

The Business Development Professional will play a key role in the growth and visibility of our Nashville surveying office. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating and managing client relationships, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success. The ideal candidate thrives in a relationship-driven environment and has experience in A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, Construction), land development, or related fields.


What you will do:

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the Nashville and broader Middle Tennessee markets.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients, partners, and projects.
  • Attend industry events, networking groups, and local association meetings to raise brand awareness and build professional connections.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage, nurture, and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring timely communication and exceptional service.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to understand their needs and upcoming project opportunities.

Internal Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with the Survey Director to execute strategic growth initiatives and support operational goals.
  • Assist with proposal development, pricing coordination, and preparation of marketing materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and project delivery.



Requirements:

What you bring:·

  • 3–5 years of business development, client management, or sales experience—preferably within land surveying, engineering, construction, or real estate development.
  • ·Strong understanding of the A/E/C market in Middle Tennessee is a plus.· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.·
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client visits, networking, and events.
