Summary:
Under the guidance of the department leadership, this role is responsible for executing production control strategies and tactical plans at the Astemo Sunbury Plant. The position collaborates with the leadership team to establish priorities and objectives and ensures their effective implementation. This role supports production supervisors as well as direct team members, while acting as a strategic partner to other departments across the organization. This role exercises independent judgment regularly while operating within established guidelines.
Essential Functions:
  • Utilize customer product release schedules to plan production flat schedules.
  • Daily verification of actual to planned production.
  • Implement schedule adjustments as needed to satisfy customer demands & inventory goals.
  • Use customer demand & inventory data to produce monthly master schedules.
  • Implement the production of new or revised parts (PSW) into production schedules.
  • Closely monitor production condition to ensure schedule requirements are met.
  • Coordinate & support cross-functional activities related to production.
  • Ensure accuracy & target achievement of finished goods & WIP component inventory.
  • Maintain item master files & other files/reports pertaining to planning.
  • Order components for production plan.
  • Ensure timely vendor deliveries (including escalation & problem solving where needed).
  • Maintain system for finished goods.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications (including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and current ERP system). Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2yrs prior relevant experience.

Working Conditions:
  • Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift/move up to 40lbs.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international may be required as needed.
  • Working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to manufacturing areas.
